Saishwari was among 12 'sleep interns' in an internship program which requires participants to sleep 8-9 hours every night to promote the importance of rest

Can anyone win Rs 9 lakh just by sleeping? Sounds like a dream, right? Well, that’s exactly what happened in Bengaluru where investment banker, Saishwari, has made this incredible feat a reality by sleeping enough. She earned the title of ‘Sleep Champion’ in the third season of Wakefit’s sleep internship program, a unique initiative by the Bangalore-based startup.

Saishwari was one of the 12 ‘sleep interns’ of this program. This internship program is designed for those who give priority to sleep. As part of this program, participants need to sleep at least 8 to 9 hours every night.

In addition, participants were encouraged to take a 20-minute power nap during the day. Each intern was given a premium mattress and a sleep tracker to monitor their sleep patterns.

Interns also attended regular workshops led by experienced sleep advisors to improve their sleeping habits and increase their chances of winning the ‘Sleep Champion’ title.

More than 10 lakh people registered for this sleep internship program. Following the three part program, 51 interns were given employment.
