Los Angeles: Director David Ayer says he is up for a sequel to Suicide Squad. The 48-year old filmmaker said he is keen to reunite the anti-hero team because he loves the characters and thinks "it would be a lot of fun" to do another story with them, reported Deadline.
"Look, it's definitely the devil's candy. I love high-stakes situations and I love the movie family we put together. I love this cast and I really love the world. I think it would be a lot of fun," Ayer said.
The director admits that he is nervous following a mixed response fans gave to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but feels confident he has got a hit on his hands following positive screenings.
"I think the institutional lesson of 'Batman V Superman' was, you have to put the film up for a large audience and see how it plays.
"I got the opportunity to do that a few times. I'm a big believer in audience testing. You have to listen to the audience. I think it really made the film a lot better," he said.
Sucide Squad stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo. The cast also includes Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and Jared Leto as The Joker.
