Patna: A self styled godman called Pramod Baba is making headlines after he reportedly emerged from a sealed hole in the ground where he was without food, water and oxygen for 15 days.
Hundreds of devotees from across Bihar came to Madhepura to see the godman rise from his sealed ditch in perfect health.
Doctors and experts say it is not humanly possible for someone to survive 15 days without oxygen. Calling the whole exercise a farce, they dared the baba to pull off the same feat in a lab.
Dr KK Pandey said, "Without oxygen, it is not possible for a man to live this long. Science does not allow me to believe this. With yoga and sadhana (dedication), you can reduce your bodily needs and control them to a certain extent. But it's not like you can switch them on and off. Within three minutes, there will be an impact on the brain."
