Black Tulsi: This Tulsi looks like normal Tulsi leaves, the difference being the plant and leaves are not green but dark purple. This tulsi leaf is the best in terms of benefits. It is rich in antimicrobial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties, provides respite from colds, cures respiratory infections and improves digestion.
Ram Tulsi: A much larger plant and leaf size than common Tulsi leaves. This leaf helps reduce stress, anxiety or inflammation. Medicinally it’s been used in the treatment of colds and flu, to cleanse the respiratory tract of toxins, and in the relief of gas and bloating. The oil is an antioxidant and is used for pain and arthritis.
White Tulsi: Also referred to as Babui Tulsi and Dulali Tulsi, this white tulsi seed is known for its numerous beneficial properties. It is commonly used in sweets and beverages in several countries, including India. Additionally, its oil contains volatiles that possess fungicidal and insecticidal properties.
Mint Tulsi: The leaves are slightly rounded compared to regular Tulsi leaves. They are also much smoother than normal tulsi leaves. Although possessing many qualities, this Tulsi has two or four leaves. It is great for the cure of nasal congestion and mild sore throat. However, to get the benefits of this leaf, it is recommended that you follow the advice of experts.
