Body of 19-year-old boy found, 3 arrested

A body of a 19-year-old boy was found in a gutter at Kanota town, following which three persons have been arrested in this connection, police said.

The incident took place on Saturday when Mukesh and Hemant, along with one of their female friends, went for an outing to Shikarion-ki-Dhani area near Kanota sub-urban town, police said. The villagers objected to the presence of the girl among the two boys and chased and beat them up, police said, adding, Hemant and the girl managed to escape during the scuffle.

Mukesh fell into the gutter and died while he was trying to escape, police said, adding, his body was later recovered by them.

Hemant informed Mukesh's parents about the incident who lodged an FIR yesterday. On the basis of the FIR and Hemant's statement, police have arrested three accused, Girdhari, Kailash Chand, and Ramphool, under section 304 of the Indian Penal Code for culpable homicide.
