Boys Shine in Medical Entrance

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: V Irfan of Malappuram has bagged the first rank in the medical entrance examinations. Shammy N (Kollam), Ashitha P (Perumbavoor), Arun S Nair (Kadakkal) and Remya S (Kottayam) bagged the second, third, fourth and fifth ranks respectively.
The results were announced by Education Minister K Abdu Rabb here on Tuesday. For the engineering examinations, only the list of candidates who qualified for the entrance examinations was released. This was following the decision to consider the marks for the qualifying examinations also for admissions to engineering colleges. The ranks will be decided after giving equal weightage to the entrance examinations and the qualifying examinations after effecting the normalisation process. In the Scheduled Caste category, P Krishna Mohan of Kozhikode and A Shyam of Kollam bagged the first and second ranks respectively. The first and second ranks in the Scheduled Tribe category were bagged by Geethu Divakar and Sneha Johny respectively.
