BANGALORE: Bangalore University (BU) Vice-Chancellor Dr N Prabhu Dev denied problems in the 4-year BS course. He said, “I don’t think there are any problems. Students do not seem to have any complaints. The purported problems are only instigated.” He did not rule out involvement of persons with vested interest in tarnishing the image of the 4-year BS course. “I agree that it is a new course, which needs a building of its own. We are looking into it. But there are no problems,” reiterated V-C Prabhu Dev. In a report published on December 5, The New Indian Express had highlighted the lack of infrastructure, lab facilities and furniture for faculty in the 4-year BS course in Jnana Bharathi. Currently, the course is being run in the new guest house premises.
