Building collapse in Bandra, 7 injured

New Delhi: At least seven people were injured when a three storeyed building collapsed in the Behrampada area of Bandra in Mumbai.

The incident took place at 1630 hrs IST on Sunday evening. Seven fire tenders and five ambulances had to be rushed to the site.

The injured are at the Bhabha Hospital now. At least four are in critical condition. Of these two are children. Several people continue to be trapped in the debris.

"Seven people have been rescued from under the debris, but we are not sure how many more are trapped underneath. Our team is conducting rescue operations," the sources said.

The injured have been admitted to Bhabha hospital, they added.
