Laxman, 94, was admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital for urinary tract infection on Saturday.
Mumbai: The condition of the noted cartoonist RK Laxman, who is undergoing treatment at a Pune hospital, remains critical, doctors said.
The Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital at Pune said in a statement this evening that Laxman is on "mechanical ventilator, on drugs to maintain his blood pressure".
"Currently his medical condition is critical but he is holding on his vital parameters like pulse, blood pressure, oxygen, carbon dioxide, electrolytes and glucose concentrations in blood are stable," the statement added.
