BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Special Court, on Monday, admitted the case of disproportionate assets filed against Congress MLA of Vijayanagar constituency M Krishnappa, his son and MLA of Govindarajanagar constituency Priya Krishna.The court also directed the Lokayukta police to investigate the case and file a report by February 18.Judge N K Sudheendra Rao, who reserved its order about the admissibility of the case filed by H C Prakasha, an advocate, admitted the case under section 156(3) of Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA) and directed the Superintendent of Police of Lokayukta Bangalore City Division to file an investigation report by February 18. The next hearing of the disproportionate assets case was also adjourned to the same date.Following the court order, the Lokayukta police would file an FIR against the accused within a few days. Prakasha had filed a private case on January 9 alleging the MLAs of amassing wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income.Krishnappa is the first accused while Priya Krishna is the second. Krishnappa’s wife Priyadarshini is the third accused and their youngest son Pradeep is the fourth. The complainant had also submitted documents of the asset declarations made by the accused before the Election Commission and the Lokayukta, which do not match each other.It was alleged that the difference between the two declarations was to the tune of Rs 700 crore.
