Thane: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporator Ashish Damle has been allegedly caught on CCTV camera robbing an ashram in Badlapur in Thane.
Damle allegedly stole Rs 1 Lakh from a local ashram. He was accompanied by two security personnel and 15 to 20 goons who attacked the ashram.
The CCTV visuals also show them roughing up a woman in the ashram. The corporator is currently absconding.
Police have formed teams to track him down and a case of robbery has been registered against him.
Meanwhile, the NCP has expelled him from the party.
