HYDERABAD: Aggrieved by the dismissal of its plea by the special CBI court for extension of police custody of Sunil Reddy and for custody of Vijay Raghavan, both accused in the Emaar scam case, the CBI on Tuesday filed a petition before the High Court challenging the lower court’s decision.Adjourning hearing on the CBI’s petition for Wednesday, justice KC Bhanu ordered issuance of notices to the parties concerned (respondents). The CBI said in its petition that the two accused needed to be interrogated as the case was under investigation.Sunil Reddy was arrested on January 24 and was questioned for four days. Vijay Raghavan was arrested on January 28 and the lower court rejected the CBI’s plea for his custody.
