New Delhi: It was expected that the makers wouldn't leave any stone unturned for the promotion of 'Chennai Express', so the audience was more or less prepared for the bombardment of the information related to the film, but the real test is going to happen now when the public will announce its verdict.
Rohit Shetty is the most successful 'commercial' director of the current period and most of his films have entered the Rs 100 crore club. The same is true for Shah Rukh as well, who despite being compared to other superstars, remains one of the most bankable actors at the ticket window. Similarly, Deepika Padukone is also enjoying the best time of her career.
Now, when three 'top form' people are collaborating on one project, the bar of success will automatically go up. 'Chennai Express' hasn't remained a film which wants to get into the 'not-so-exclusive' Rs 100 cr club. It will have to satisfy the audience and critics alike in order to become a praise worthy venture.
'Chennai Express' will have the privilege of an extended weekend but overall it's getting only six days to hit the jackpot because 'Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara!' is releasing on August 15.
