New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut sauntered down the ramp for designer Anju Modi at the ongoing India Couture Week in New Delhi. Talking on why she chose Kangana as her showstopper, the couturier said, "I thought Kangana is the best person to convey that feel and thought that I wanted to be there in the 'Manikarnika' collection. She is a modern person who is still valuing her own heritage, culture and everything, that's how we chose her".

Anju Modi called her creation 'Manikarnika'- that represents a woman of the past, reborn in the present. The designer took inspiration from the old Indian architecture and the paintings of Ajanta- Ellora caves and a lot of that was seen in her embroidery work.

Wearing a heavily embroidered lehenga choli, Kangana looked awe-inspiring in the designer's creation. The actress, who is often seen sporting a lot of outfits designed by the International designers said that she doesn't get enough chance to wear Indian outfits at parties and movie promotions because during the movie promotions she has to adhere to what the production team wants her to wear. And she can't really think of pulling off an Indian outfit in cocktail parties.
