Union Minister Kamal Nath, on Tuesday, said that if the Congress is voted to power in Madhya Pradesh, it will constitute a commission to probe corruption charges against leaders of the ruling BJP.
"The BJP government led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is deeply involved in rampant corruption and if the Congress comes to power after the Assembly polls, commission will be set up to probe corruption cases involving BJP leaders," Nath said while addressing a poll rally here.
The Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Urban Development said that even officials involved in corruption won't not be spared and stern action would be taken against them after a probe.
Nath claimed that whatever development had taken place in Madhya Pradesh, it was because of Central funds, though the BJP is taking credit for it and misleading people.
Addressing the rally, Union Minister of State for Power (Independent Charge) Jyotiraditya Scinida claimed that he and his family joined politics merely to "serve the people" and not to enjoy power.
He said that the Congress is totally united in the state and will form the government after Assembly polls.
Scindia alleged that rampant corruption took place in the implementation of Central schemes in Madhya Pradesh and funds allocated for it were grossly misused.
In his address, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh alleged that MP is being ruled by the mining mafia and those involved in rampant corruption.
He said that whatever development took place in MP was because of schemes framed during his rule and the BJP is merely taking credit for it.
