Couple killed as their vehicle overturns

A doctor couple was killed and another relative seriously injured when their vehicle overturned near village Kodajhiri on NH-7, police said on Wednesday.

The mishap occurred on Tuesday when the Nagpur-based private practitioners identified as Dr Satish Aasar and his medico wife, Dr Shyama along with her brother Shirish Pande were on their way to Seoni from Nagpur.

While Dr Aasar (65) died on the spot, his wife succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday night in Seoni district hospital, police said. The condition of Pande too is serious, police said adding a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
