Los Angeles: Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has been approached to play the lead role in a fantasy movie Snow White and the Huntsman.
Depp has been approached to play the role of Eric the Huntsman. Actress Charlize Theron was rumoured to play the part of evil queen Ravenna, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The movie adaptation of the classic tale, Snow White and the Huntsman tells the story of Eric, the bounty hunter/hunstman whom Ravenna hires to find and kill Snow White. He eventually refuses to kill the girl, instead tagging along with her as mentor.
The film is being directed by Rupert Sanders.
