New Delhi: Countryside stories are the latest flavour in the Hindi film industry. Every filmmakers is shifting focus towards the semi-urban and rural areas in order to get fresh plots and twists. Anand Kumar, who last film 'Zila Ghaziabad' was also about raw, earthy criminals, is once again ready to come up with a shocking tale of betrayal and treachery.
So, what's the theme of Anand Kumar's upcoming project 'Desi Kattey', "Desi Kattey is a story of two village boys who have been working in local factory which manufactures country made firearms also known as kattas since their childhood. They are extremely proficient in the usage of kattas as it is a part and parcel of their life. Desi Kattey is story around these two young boys who grow up to choose different professions related to guns."
Kumar further says, "I read a lot of scripts and this particular story of two small town boys who are orphans making it large on their own with a sports angle to it excited me."
TV actor Jay Bhanushali is making his debut as a lead man with 'Desi Kattey', "In the lead we have taken Jay Bhanushali a known name in and Akhil Kapoor (Vinod Khanna's nephew), while Sasha Agha and Tia Bajpai are playing their love interests. Besides them, Mithun Chakraborty and Suniel Shetty will also be seen."
Commercial filmmakers always have high expectations from their films, "As any director- producer, the expectation from any film is that the audience likes your movie, appreciates your efforts and makes the movie a success. Hopefully audience will shower all the blessing on us."
The shooting of 'Desi Kattey' is expected to start soon and it is likely to release next year.
