New Delhi: The show started with a swiftly organized walking done by tuxedo clad male models from all directions, creating controlled chaos. Amidst the black palette came a breath of fresh air – a grey miniature printed orange dress casting a spell on the eyes. The print definitely created a lasting impact, which was thrown sparsely on the sides – hems and yokes. A playful episode of colours was a mustard base with black and white prints. Self-prints were also identifiable amongst black, mustards and oranges.
The curves got defined well with the belts breaking the symmetry in a favourable manner. The silhouettes were more western, teaming skirts, parallel pants and half-placket shirts.
Orange overlap dresses embroidered on one side and well-crafted boleros with circular lapel collars made a bold statement. Ombre handkerchief overlay tops had a great gradation of colours flowing in the ascending order. An off-shoulder top was teamed with black D-skirts. The sensual elements became more obvious with see-through layers.
There was a metal beaded linear dimension given to the jackets. The other noticeable elements were lacy floral sleeveless jackets and jumpsuits with pleated trousers. The piece that stood out distinctly from the entire collection was a halter-neck long dress with criss-cross chord placements on the back, portraying a sensual character.
Ankur and Priyanka Modi have just opened a whole new realm of fashion showbiz. Amidst the whistles and roaring applause, the powerhouse couple left a huge impression.
