Films traversing diverse worlds were screened at the festival.

New Delhi:Dev D was busy posing for shutterbugs, filmmaker Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra was debating the Bollywood syndrome.

"We do suffer from the Bollywood syndrome, which one is very ashamed of. But anyway, having said that, it's definitely - I don't know whether you want to call it an experiment or not - but it's something which I have tried to do and say," he said at the festival.

Mehra was there to promote his film Delhi 6, though not in the competition category just like Dev D.

BROOKLYN FINEST PREMIÈRE

Ethan Hawke and Wesley snipes walked the red carpet for the première of their film Brooklyn Finest on Wednesday. But the film's other lead star, Richard Gere, was conspicuous by his absence.

From the director of Training Day, Antoine Fuqua, Brooklyn Finest tells the story of three diverse characters who hail from NY's notorious Brooklyn area but have never crossed paths until one day, when a drug bust throws them all together.
