Devotees are currently facing a 24-hour wait time for Tirumala darshan as TTD is working to ensure better facilities, improved sanitation, and proper crowd control measures

Around 10 am on Saturday, devotees were seen in 31 compartments of the Vaikuntham Queue Complex queued up for darshan. According to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), it takes 24 hours for Srivari darshan.

A total of 69,098 devotees paid their obeisance to Sri Venkateswara Swamy on Friday. Devotees paid Rs 3.56 crore to the deity in the form of offerings.

TTD Additional Executive Officer CH Venkaiah Chaudhary conducted extensive inspections in Tirumala early on Saturday.

Chaudhary inspected the sheds and queue lines in Vaikuntham Queue Complex-2, Krishna Teja Circle and Narayangiri Gardens. He informed the devotees about facilities provided by TTD. The devotees expressed their happiness saying that the upma served in the compartments was tasty.

The officials concerned have been directed to examine the provision of drinking water, food and milk in the Vaikuntham queue complex and to specify the timings and food items offered to the devotees on the boards outside the compartments.

The TTD intends to monitor all compartments of Vaikuntham Queue Complex (VQC) so that the devotees can offer darshan without any delay. As soon as the devotees are sent for darshan from the VQC compartments, better sanitation measures have been ordered.

At the Krishna Teja Circle, some private taxi and jeep drivers were observed parking at the entrance where the devotees were queing up to offer darshan. The taxi drivers were warned not to park at the place. The TTD vigilance officials were directed to hold talks with the local police to avoid such unauthorized parking in future.

TTD has taken special measures to ensure that devotees are not inconvenienced. The Vaikuntham Queue Complex is providing milk, buttermilk, khichdi, upma, sambar rice, Perugannam, sundal for the devotees.

The TTD will also issue time slot tokens at Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasa and Govindaraja Swamy in Tirupati for devotees.
