Melbourne: The Delhi 2010 Organising Committee's India Gala Dinner was held at Melbourne Town Hall on Thursday night, offering a taste of what to expect during the Indian Handover Ceremony this Sunday.
The Committee played host to a bevy of Bollywood beauties, along with representatives of all 71 Commonwealth nations and Australian and Indian Government and Games Officials.
Prince Edward and Lord Sebastian Coe joined John Harnden, CEO of Melbourne 2006 on the evening, along with Minister for Commonwealth Games, Justin Madden and the Chairman of the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee, Suresh Kalmadi.
Having arrived in Melbourne on Wednesday evening, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit also attended the Gala Dinner as a lead up to the handover of the Commonwealth Games from Melbourne to Delhi this Sunday in the Closing Ceremony.

Bollywood choreographer, Shiamak Davar injected Indian enthusiasm into the India Gala Dinner with his Bollywood extravaganza and will do the same at the Closing Ceremony of the 18th Commonwealth Games this Sunday.
He has performed for Bill Clinton, choreographed Will Smith and was responsible for providing a sparkling burst of Indian energy at the World Economic Forum's closing grand soiree in Davos this year.
Shiamak Davar is no amateur at getting vast international crowds swinging to Indian beats and Melbourne will be no exception. Mr Bollywood means business!

Showcasing the culture, rhythms and fashion of India, the India Gala Dinner set the spirit of India alight, as a timely prelude to the Indian Cultural Segment, which will take place within the upcoming Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony.
"We will give a glimpse of India's rich culture and heritage in the 11 minutes allotted to us and invite the athletes of the Commonwealth to attend the best ever Games in 2010" said Suresh Kalmadi.
The 11-minute Handover Ceremony at the MCG in Melbourne promises to light up the sky.
Key performers in the segment included Saif Ali Khan, the heartthrob of Indian cinema, Rani Mukherjee, former Miss World and Bollywood sensation Aishwarya Rai and the first Miss Universe of the new millennium Lara Dutta.
