Ravindra back from Mumbai to Kannada cinema from 'I am Sorry Mathe Banni Pritsona' that was re-released as 'Mathe Banni Pritsona' a brilliantly made film has gone back to Mumbai to work on commercial ads with a sad face of failure of his debut cinema. In the last eight months he is working on commercial ads in Mumbai. The urge in him to give another best film is still prevalent.
Critically Ravindra film 'Mathe Banni Pristona' was received well. On audience turn out very poor for lovely star Premkumar, Karishma Tanna, Sanjaana, Dilipraj and others in the first release - director Ravindra also joint producer with Vinay Narkar and debut director was extremely unhappy.
After the first release in June 2011, the film was cut short in the title and released in October 2011. That is because of a few fans of Kannada cinema taking initiative and via Ambarish the film was released again. Again it did not do well. Leelashanker and Nana Gowda Biradar friends from Mandya had taken the support of rebel star Ambarish in this decision. First they showed the film to Ambarish and then they had a discussion with the director and producer of the film Ravindra for re-release.
Except a decent television right amount for the film it is a complete loss of Rs.3 crores admits HP Ravindra speaking to this correspondent from Mumbai.
He has not given up making cinema as of now. He has two scripts and producers have to give the green signal. The film 'Mathe Banni Pritsona' was my hard work of one year remembers Ravindra.
