Divya Pahuja Murder Case: Accused Who Dumped Ex-model's Body Arrested While Trying to Catch a Flight

In a new development in the former model, Divya Pahuja murder case, another accused, who allegedly dumped her body, was arrested from West Bengal, police said. Balraj Gill, who allegedly disposed of Pahuja’s body with another accused Ravi Bandra, was arrested at Kolkata airport Thursday evening while trying to board a flight.

Divya Pahuja, a 27-year-old former model and the girlfriend of slain gangster Sandeep Gadoli, was shot dead at a city hotel in Gurugram on January 2. Police had earlier arrested three persons including hotel owner, Abhijeet Singh, who is the main accused, and two of his alleged accomplices, Omprakash and Hemraj in the case.

Pahuja was one of the accused in her boyfriend, gangster Sandeep Gadoli’s murder in an alleged fake police encounter in Mumbai in 2016.

Police said Ravi Bandra is still at large and efforts are underway to trace him.

The ex-model’s body has not been found yet.

According to an NDTV report, a senior investigator said police have reasons to believe that Balraj Singh and Ravi Banga who allegedly took away the body in a BMW car might have thrown it in the Ghaggar river. Two men were caught in CCTV footage dragging Pauja’s body down a hotel corridor. The footage of the body being dragged is also the last time it was seen.

A team of police is also trying to fish out the body from the river with the help of divers, the official added.

Quoting sources, an NDTV report said Pahuja allegedly had some obscene videos of Singh on her phone which she refused to delete. She was allegedly blackmailing the hotel owner with the photos, which ultimately led to her murder.
