KURNOOL: In yet another case of ‘honour killing’, a man, along with his son, were taken into custody on Friday for ‘killing his daughter and her lover’ at Singalapalle village in Avuku mandal.Though the incident happened few days ago, it came to light late.After killing, the man and his son dumped the bodies in a lake near the fields on the outskirts of the village.According to police, Boya Subbarayudu, a small farmer in the village, has two daughters and three sons. He got married all children except his younger daughter and younger son.Recently, Rayudu began looking marriage alliances for the younger daughter, Ramulamma. But when she told him that she was in love with one Pullaiah, a native of the same village, Rayudu got infuriated. Stating that Pullaiah was married earlier, they warned her to forget him.At this, Ramulamma eloped with Pullaiah and after 4-5 days returned home after marrying her lover.Angered over this move, Rayudu and his younger son, Parasuram, according to a plan, killed Ramulamma and Pullaiah and buried them on one night.They kept telling the villagers that Ramulamma and Pullaiah ran away from the village. However, suspecting something foul, Pullaiah’s brothers lodged a complaint.
