Munich: Portugal midfielders Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo trained separately from the rest of the squad on Tuesday, raising doubts over whether they would be fit to face France in Wednesday's World Cup semi-final.

"Figo and Cristiano have had their own training schedule," coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said.

"We're going to see how they go today (Tuesday)," he added. "The probability at the moment is that Cristiano has a better chance of recovering."

Scolari did not give any further details.

The pair jogged lightly around the pitch at Munich's Allianz Arena, venue of Wednesday's match, while their teammates took part in a light-hearted kick around.

Ronaldo struggled to be fit for the quarter-final against England after suffering a thigh injury in a stormy second round win over Netherlands and has been having ice treatment.

The absence of either player would be a blow for Portugal, who have already surpassed their target by reaching the semi-finals for the first time since 1966.

Portugal playmaker Deco returns after missing the England game through suspension along with defensive midfielder Costinha. Midfielder Armando Petit is banned this time.
