London: She is Sir Elton John's favourite and has toured with him on several concerts. But now, he has put her up for sale on eBay.
Sir Elton John has put his distinctive red piano, Fiona, up for auction on eBay. The cash will go to the Elton John Aids Foundation, which has raised £60million so far, reports The Mirror.
The highest bid so far for the Yamaha DC6A Pro digital acoustic 6'11 grand piano is £100,000. Fiona, has been played by Elton on many television shows and at many special performances including his hit Las Vegas show The Red Piano.
Only six of his keyboards have names. Elton, last played Fiona at his party in Hollywood on Sunday then signed her and lacquered the autograph to preserve it.
Its eBay listing says the piano is steeped in Eltons rich musical history. The original prototype for Yamaha's highly successful line of Elton John Limited Edition Signature Series Red Pianos is up for grabs till March 9.
