NAGERCOIL: Former DMK minister Suresh Rajan and some party functionaries were booked for allegedly making inflammatory speeches against Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at a public meeting in Kaliyakkavilai, near here, on Saturday.The Melpuram union wing of the DMK had convened a meeting at Kaliyakkavilai junction in which Suresh Rajan, the party high command speaker Vaagai Muthazhagan and other leaders of the party took part. After the inaugural speech, Suresh Rajan left the venue, while Vaagai Muthazhagan was addressing the meeting.It is said that Muthazhagan made some inflammatory remarks against the CM and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. On hearing this, AIADMK and Congress cadre showed their protest and gathered in front of the stage. Suddenly a stone was hurled towards the stage. Around 10 pm, Congress cadre, demanding the arrest of Vaagai Muthazhagan, staged a road roko on the Thiruvananthapuram-Nagercoil NH. On a complaint from Congress and AIADMK functionaries, policce have registered a case against the duo.
