New Delhi: Independent film 'Love Lies and Seeta' is also releasing this week. The film is made by the US based Indian filmmaker Chandra Premmaraju and stars Melanie Kannokada, Arjun Gupta, Lavrenti Lopes and Michael Derek in the lead roles.
'Love Lies and Seeta' is a romantic comedy which involves three guys and their love for the same girl. The story explains how their friends play important roles in winning the girl's love. Set in the backdrop of New York of 2010, the film explores the rectangular love story of three boys and a girl.
It seeks answers to some of the eternal questions related to love. The theme of the film is expected to deal with the different meanings of the term 'Love'. 'Love Lies and Seeta' goes past the borders defined by a persona's ethnicity.
Shot within a period of 30 days, 'Love Lies and Seeta' is shot at 50 locations, mostly based in New York that comes as a character in the film. Captured with the help of Red camera, 'Love Lies and Seeta' is supposed to showcase the summer of New York in a mesmerising way.
The director Chandra Premmaraju wants to show the differences between the Indian and the American contemporary cultures via his film as he has the experience of living in both the countries.
Independent filmmaking is at an all time high in India these days. The release of another independent film will boost the morals of indie filmmakers.
