New Delhi: Google on Monday has posted an interactive doodle on its homepage to celebrate Perseid Meteor Shower. The interactive doodle with colourful illustrations honours the annual Perseid meteor shower.
The annual Perseid meteor shower occurs from August 11-13. NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center will host a live Ustream and web chat on the night of August 12.
On August 10, the moon became full just as it reached the place in its orbit (perigee) closest to Earth. This full moon also known as a supermoon was as much as 14 per cent closer and 30 per cent brighter than other full moons of the year.
