Google Hotel Finder lets travellers search, compare and book hotels
Once you have selected a destination, choose your dates from the calendar in the Select dates box to complete your search.

New Delhi: It's been over two years since Google introduced its Hotel Finder service that lets users compare and book hotels available across the web, but the search-engine giant seems to have now started highlighting the service in the search results on the Google India pages.

In the introductory phase, the service would let users search for hotels in the US and Europe, but it now covers Indian cities too. It lets you search for a city, landmark, address, or hotel name in the box.

As you type, suggestions will appear beneath the text box; click any suggestions to begin your search for it. You can also begin by clicking one of the suggested destinations listed below the search box.

Once you have selected a destination, choose your dates from the calendar in the Select dates box to complete your search.

Hotel Finder also pops up information about each hotel you select within the browser window, rather than detonating a small explosion of new tabs and windows like pretty much every other travel site. Only when you go to book (a drop-down tab will give you the options of where to get the best rate) will you be sent off to a different site to complete the transaction.

What's your reaction?
