HASSAN: Giving Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa a fourday deadline to consider his demands, former prime minister H D Deve Gowda on Wednesday declared that he will stage a hunger strike along with elected representatives of Hassan district in front of the CM's residence on June 27.
He addressed reporters here after staging a hunger strike at the deputy commissioner's office that the BJP government has completely neglected ongoing and pending projects to the tune of hundreds of crores despite his and authorities' repeated requests."The state government is yet to release funds meant for Hassan Institute of Medical sciences [HIMS], and an engineering, veterinary, agriculture and law college," he detailed.

In contrast, said Gowda, development works taken up in Shimoga, the home town of the chief minister, were completed a year ago.
