Gurugram Hit-And-Run: Jiya's Family Blames Ryan School, Bus Driver Held
Jiya, a student of Ryan International School, died late on Tuesday night in Gurugram.

Gurugram: The driver of Ryan International school bus which had dropped seven-year-old Jiya Juneja on the wrong side of the road, has been arrested by police.

Jiya's family has blamed Ryan International School saying the basic safety norms were not followed. Talking to CNN-News18, Jiya's father Pankaj Juneja said, "They should have handed over my child to my wife. But they didn't. The school is definitely responsible. The school bus did not have a conductor, a helper which is mandatory. It took the school four days to finally pay attention to us only after we protested. They have not made any attempts to get in touch."

However, the school officials have refused to take any responsibility for the victim's death.

Jiya, a student of Ryan International School, died late on Tuesday night in Gurugram.

She was hit by a car on May 9 when her school bus allegedly dropped her on the wrong side of the road and left her unaccompanied.
