Harish Rawat meets Aziz Qureshi, briefs him on Governor's Conference

A day ahead of the Governors' Conference in Delhi on Wednesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Tuesday met Governor Aziz Qureshi and briefed him about the steps taken to strengthen the infrastructure hit hard by the catastrophic deluge last year.

Rawat called on Qureshi on Tuesday afternoon and discussed several important issues including the work being done and plans of action and schemes underway to provide a strong infrastructure in disaster-affected areas on a priority basis, a Raj Bhawan release said here.

Issues to be raised by the Governor at Wednesday's conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan were also discussed, it said.
