A live-in couple allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the seventh floor of their residential building in Haryana’s Jhajjar district on Saturday.
The couple, identified as Garvit Singh Garry (25) and Nandini Kashyap (22), were YouTubers and hailed from Uttarakhand’s Dehradun. They had been residing in a residential building located in Jhajjar’s Bahadurgarh for the past month, according to police.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 6 am on Saturday. The couple, who had returned home late after a shoot, got into an argument over an undisclosed issue, as per NDTV report.
The couple, both content creators who made reels and videos for social media platforms, was taken to a hospital where they were declared brought dead, police confirmed. Authorities added that it was yet to be ascertained why they took the extreme step. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
The police further added that CCTV footage from the area is currently under scrutiny to understand the sequence of events leading up to the incident.
“We are looking into the incident, and further action will be taken accordingly,” stated Jagbir, the investigating officer of the case.
