The Jharkhand High Court on Friday granted bail to MLA Dhulu Mahto after 11 months in judicial remand in connection with forcibly freeing a person from a police station in Dhanbad.
Justice S Chandrasekhar granted the bail to the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha MLA on two sureties for Rs 10,000 each.
Mahto had on July 9 last year surrendered before a court in Dhanbad after being accused of forcibly freeing one Rajesh from Nishitpur police station in May. He and five others had been charged with obstructing policemen from discharging their duties.
