Q. Hello Sir, I was suffering from extreme back-pain and when I got a checkup and scanned... there is a 7.3MM stone in my kidney... as my DOC said it's in the junction of kidney... I'm taking tablets and a powder since last month..and i have to scan now to check the existence of the stone... please do let me know any treatment from your side and diet I should take. A. Stone can go with lots of fluid and some drug for dilatation of ureter. But if it persist then you need to show to urologist to assess if any intervention is required. Diet depends upon type of stone which requires analysis of stone. This also can be discussed with your urologist. Without knowing more details, other advice will be difficult.

A. Follow medical treatment. Dialysis is required only once problem goes beyond a limit. Every patient of kidney disease does not need dialysis.

A. In my opinion, any creatinine above normal value is not good. Better will be to get regular check up say every 3 monthly for creatinine and blood pressure. Take large amount of fluid as that is useful in PKD. Avoid coffee.

A. Yes, high blood pressure, if uncontrolled can affect other organs including kidney. Take less salt and less fat and control your blood pressure with medication and folloup with doctor at a regular interval. Good luck.
