The Warrior and Slumdog Millionaire gave him global recognition.
New Delhi: Irrfan Khan, one of the few Indian actors to have carved a niche for himself in global cinema with movies like The Warrior and Slumdog Millionaire feels that he is yet to get his due back home.
"It does pinch me because I have got global recognition but the same cannot be said about India. I struggled for years in the industry but I started getting noticed only after I won an international award for The Warrior," said Irrfan.
But the actor is happy that he is finally getting the kind of work he had always wanted to do in the Indian film industry.
"I am happy despite that because I am finally getting the kind of work that I enjoy doing."
