John Lenon’s 'Imagine' has over the years attained an iconic halo as one of the most inspirational songs of all time. Taking the same inspiration to the next level are city-based artists Manohar Chuliveru, Srinath Vadapalli, Satya Sai Mothadaka and Shivaprasad Chiluveru.
Organising a group show tilted the same, as a tribute to the musician from the band Beatles, the show is being held in association with the Alliance Française of Hyderabad.
Imagine will feature works in mediums of photograohy, digital art, painting and sculpture. The visuals are presented in different layers, with personal subjectivity or metaphors, inviting the viewer to interact with the work, dialogue and the imagination.
Talking about the show, Manohar Chiluveru says, “The show explores the idea of Imagine, referring to Lennon’s song whose lyrics talk about peace. It carries a deep message and aims to reflect today’s meaning of life in the world. War, peace, ecology or bio-diversity are not different issues; all are interrelated and we need to be conscious about these interactions.”
The show will be launched by producer D Suresh Babu at the Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad, Road No, 3, Banjara Hills today at 7 pm.
The exhibition, which is open to everybody will be on display till October 4, from 9 am to 6 pm, except Sundays.
