Andhra PradeshWhen you love eating and making a dish so much that you end up starting a business with it? Something similar was done by this young woman from Andhra Pradesh who ventured into the business of pani puri and is now a successful entrepreneur.
Local18 reports on the young businesswoman, who goes by the Revathi and is a resident of Koyyalagudem village, which is located in the West Godavari district. She loves to eat pani puri but finds it hard to eat it outside. Local18 reports that she decided to start her pani puri business through Instagram after she decided to quit her job. She has done an MBA from her hometown itself.
In a conversation with Local18, Revathi revealed that she disliked eating pani puri which was sold on a street cart. She observed how vendors dipped unclean hands in the water, up to their elbows. She stated, “There were a lot of people who ate too hard and they used to be bothered like me.” So, she decided to start her own business because she could not see another solution to the problem. As a foodie, she preferred having quality food, which ensured cleanliness and only organic ingredients.
The business, known as Puri Pop, makes the employees wear gloves while working, and keeping the surroundings clean. According to the reports of Local18, they sell five types of pani puri water at the shop. It includes dhaniya water, garlic water, mint water, jeera water and more. It is entirely made with organic ingredients, as per the information given. To make it, they refrain from using bare hands. So, they pour the water with another utensil in a bowl, which is then used to fill the puri. Customers prefer to eat this way. Revathi added that she invested Rs 1 lakh in the business, which is now a success. They can make Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 per month.
