Mumbai: The buzz is that producer Sajid Nadiadwala's big budget, star studded Jaan-e-Mann will release in more than 250 screens in just Mumbai, more than Krrish and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna that had hit approximately 200-plus screens.
Set for a Diwali release, this Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta starrer earlier set a record by fetching a never-before sum of Rs 70.4 million for the distribution rights for Mumbai territory.
The various distributors who bought the film for a record-breaking fee are not yet selling it to sub-distributors.
"Touchwood, the film is so hot in the trade. I'm confident that our brand Nadiadwala Grandsons, which stands for complete entertainers, will fulfill everyone's expectations with the release of Jaan-e-Mann. I'm sure everyone will benefit from Jaan-e-Mann," Nadiadwala said.
He has also ensured that the best theatres and screens are available for his patrons.
Jaan-e-Mann is Shirish Kunder's first directorial venture and Nadiadwala has invested Rs 400 million, a never before for new directors by even the biggest banners.
"Jaan-e-Mann is definitely a hot proposition and its true that we are planning to release the movie in as many as 250-plus screens in the Mumbai territory," Denis Selarka of Shree Astavinayak Cinevision Ltd, the Mumbai distributor for the film, said.
And the release of the Rs 4 million trailer has further fuelled the buzz about the film being the biggest release for the festive season.
With Nadiadwala's good box office record and the deadly team of Salman-Akshay, who created a storm in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Jaan-e-Mann is indeed the hottest Diwali flick.
The buzz is just getting bigger and better.
