New Delhi: The authorities of the Jaipur hotel, where controversial Bangladeshi writer Talima Nasrin spent a night on Thursday on arrival from West Bengal after riots broke out in the state, is awaiting the payments of its bills, a source told news agency PTI on Saturday.

The authorities of Hotel Shikha are claiming that Nasrin's bill was nearly Rs 10,000. Three to four rooms were occupied by the police, PTI quoted the hotel authorities as saying.

Nasrin stayed in a room whose tariff was Rs 2,200, excluding the taxes, and food charges, they said.

Meanwhile, 48 hours after Nasrin was shunted out of Bengal, the West Bengal Home Secretary on Saturday said she could return to the state if she wished and promised her security.

Nasrin was shunted out of Kolkata on Thursday evening on the advise of a group of Marwari businessmen, who are reportedly close to the Left Front government in West Bengal. However, no state seems to be in the mood to provide her hospitality.
