New Delhi: Golfer Jeev Milkha Singh is likely to be the only Indian at the British Open tournament this year as compatriots Jyoti Randhawa and Daniel Chopra missed the qualifying mark on Tuesday.
Randhawa finished five shots off the qualifying mark.
American Michael Putnam birdied his last two holes to finish first in the qualifying round in Michigan.
A total of 12 players qualified from the tournament for the Open, which starts in a fortnight.
Randhawa finished tied seventh in the French Open last week, unable to pick up one of 16 tickets available.
Randhawa could still make the British Open with a win at either European Open or the Scottish Open over the next two weeks.
Daniel Chopra missed making the British Open berth by two shots.
