One of the police officers investigating the Jessica Lall murder case has been transferred to the First Battalion of Delhi police.

New Delhi: One of the police officers investigating the Jessica Lall murder case has been transferred to the First Battalion of Delhi police.

The police officer, Raman Lamba, was transferred to the First Battalion of Delhi Armed Police on Friday. He was serving in the Special Cell of Delhi Police for the last five years.

While there was speculation over the shifting of the high-profile police officer, the Delhi Police called it a 'routine transfer'.

Meanwhile continuing with the Jessica Lall probe, the special team of the Delhi Police had questioned Arunachal Pradesh Director General of Police Amod Kanth on Wednesday in connection with ramp model Jessica Lall murder case.

Kanth, who was Joint Commissioner (southern range) in 1999 when Jessica was killed in a South Delhi restaurant, was

quizzed by the Special Investigation Team at the police headquarters in New Delhi, police sources said.

He is the second top-ranking officer to be questioned in the case which is being re-investigated after the trial court acquitted all the nine accused, including Manu Sharma, who allegedly shot dead the upcoming model
