Mumbai: 'Jism 2' posters featuring adult movie star Sunny Leone have been considered "too hot to handle" by Mumbai civic authorities as the Mayor has ordered their removal from BEST buses. The action follows a complaint by NCP legislator Vidya Chavan that the posters were obscene.
"We received a complaint from Chavan, who alleged that the posters were obscene. I have asked BEST general manager to remove such posters from BEST buses," Mayor Sunil Prabhu told PTI.
The 31-year-old Indo-Canadian porn star, whose participation in the reality show 'Bigg Boss' led to her entry in Bollywood, is debuting in the erotic thriller directed by Pooja Bhatt. It will hit theatres this Friday.
Earlier, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt insisted that the film is conservative and traditional in a way. 'Jism 2' is a sequel to the 2003 release 'Jism', which starred Bipasha Basu and John Abraham in the lead. "It is a conservative...traditional film in a way. It is about a journey of a porn star, her longing for real love. It is a journey of a woman. It is her quest for love," Bhatt told reporters at a promotional event of 'Jism 2'.
