Keralite held with Rs 75 lakh unaccounted cash in Kovai

A 48-year-old Keralite was detained by the railway police here after he was found carrying nearly Rs 75 lakh without proper documents for the source of money.

During enquiries, the Keralite identified himself as A Azhuvallappan Mohammed of Malappuram in Kerala.

The cops detained him after they grew suspicious of his activities and later found that he was carrying a total of Rs 74,97,500 in the denominations of Rs 1000 and Rs  500. Azhuvallappan told police that he reached Coimbatore railway junction on Thursday morning by Blue Mountain express and was waiting to board a train to Malappuram.
