THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Syndicate meeting of the Kerala University held here on Thursday decided to cancel the affiliation of the P A Azeez College of Engineering and Technology (PAACET) for the 2012-2013 academic year. The University had earlier blocked the BTech results after the college admitted 120 students in place of the sanctioned strength of 60 in the BTech Electronics and Communication branch. The Syndicate has decided to publish the examination results of all other branches except Electronics and Communication. A decision will be taken on the blocked results soon, the University said in a statement. The Syndicate also decided to slap a fine on the Heera College of Engineering and Technology for admitting an unqualified student to the BTech course. The principal of the college will be kept away from student admission procedures for a year. The Syndicate also decided to issue a warning to the MSM College, Kayamkulam, for admitting more than the sanctioned number of students to the MCom and MSc courses.LAW COLLEGE: The NSS has been allotted the first law college in the self-financing sector in the state. It will come up at Kottiyam.
