New Delhi: The speeches by Bhartiya Janta Party leaders are becoming a cause for concern for many political outfits.

On Monday, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) stated that the platform of "divisive politics and rank communalism" adopted by BJP at its national conclave in Lucknow was dangerous.

Joining the CPI-M in the rhetoric that the BJP's speeches were finding no popular support amongst people was the All-India Majlis Tameer Millat.

The organisation has termed the speeches "provocative" and in a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, has said that the "open challenge" thrown by the BJP President Rajnath Singh regarding reconstruction of the Babri Masjid is an "affront to the judiciary and the Government established by the law".

President of Millat Mohd Abdul Rahim Qureshi, told PTI, "This challenge comes at a time when the court proceeding in the title suit is at the fag end. The Supreme Court has ruled that the Government of India is only a custodian of the site of Babri Masjid and it has to restore the possession of it to Muslims when their title is confirmed by the court."

The proceedings and inflammatory speeches made at the BJP session clearly indicate that the party will "exhort the majority community to be aggressive towards the Muslims and obstruct them from taking over the site and the Government from handing over the possession of the site," he alleged.

The outfit has urged the PM to take serious note of the BJP policies against the Muslims and initiate necessary action against the leaders who are "bent upon disturbing communal harmony".

The CPI-M also said that the BJP's political resolution harped on "Muslim appeasement" and said that Muslim baiting could lead to a second partition of India.
