Deepak Pandey was nabbed by Mumbai's Crime Branch officials.

Mumbai: An accountant from Ludhiana has been arrested for allegedly sending a threatening e-mail following last week's serial blasts in Ahmedabad, a senior official said on Friday.

The accountant, Deepak Pandey, was nabbed by Mumbai's Crime Branch officials on Wednesday for allegedly sending an e-mail to a news channel in which he threatened more blasts.

The e-mail was traced back to the Punjab city from where he was arrested, police said.

"We have arrested him and he is likely to be brought to the city by tomorrow morning," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Deven Bharti. "We will be investigating whether it was a prank or not."
