A thirty one-year-old man on Monday committed suicide in Thiruporur near here following alleged sex torture by a Chennai-based doctor.
He left a suicide note stating that he was forced to take this extreme step after he was sexually tortured and intimidated by the doctor.
Police said T V Ramesh (31), who was running an Internet browsing centre in Thiruporur, was found dead by his brother-in-law, Kannan, on Tuesday night.
Bhuvaneshwari, Ramesh’s wife, had left for her parent’s place in Thandalam with their children, Mukilan (6) and Varshini (2), after a brief quarrel with her husband on Monday morning. Kannan had brought food for Ram-esh. Seeing the door locked, he peeped in through the window and saw Ramesh hanging from the ceiling. With the help of neighbours and police, the body was brought down.
Police found a suicide note that claimed that he was che-ated by Dr Sumitha. Investigations revealed that she ran a clinic in R A Puram. The victim said that he had taken money from Sumitha on interest and was subsequently exploited by her sexually. “She is threatening me. I cannot tolerate this torture anymore,” the suicide note read.
